Law-Enforcement Officers
It's yet another unsolved mystery of Scooby Doo: How did the sheriffs, police chiefs, and other law enforcement types manage to hang onto their jobs when they were demonstrably unable to bring incompetent crooks in bad costumes to justice? Were the counties that the Mysteries Inc. gang visited in the grip of endemic crime waves that kept the law otherwise occupied? Were the bad guys paying the police to look the other way? Or were the cops too busy rooting out subversives on the local college campuses to take care of international smuggling rings? (That's a separate mystery: Did the cops ever pull Freddy and the gang over to the side of the road and crack a couple of ribs on suspicion of narcotics trafficking?)
Herewith, a gallery of official incompetence. If you see any of these men on the payroll of your local police force, it is your civic duty to vote against the incumbent municipal administration in the next election. That, or you and your friends need to buy a Great Dane and take the law into your own hands.
And one of these guys seems to be even stupider than the others.
