The Scooby Doo Case Files

I thought it was just laziness at first, but then I noticed that Sheriff Knucklehead usually appears only in episodes where the gang visits the Malt Shop or are on their way home from some local entertainment. When they're out driving about the countryside, different law types show up. So I think we must be looking at the Mysteries Inc. kids' home town sheriff. Which means we may be looking at the stupidest law enforcement officer in the country. I wonder what he thinks of the "blasted meddling kids."

Of course, he's got competition. There's a Coast Guard officer who shows up a couple of times, and I wouldn't sleep safe knowing that some of the other peace officers the gang have met were serving in my home town. You can check 'em all out here.
