Spooky Sights

Scooby Doo, Where Are You? was one of the last Hanna-Barbera cartoon series to show any spark of visual imagination and creative ambition. The monsters are smartly designed; the storyboarding is good (though simple); the backgrounds are rich and evocative; characters strike and hold strong poses; even the meddling kids have distinctive walks and runs.
