Index of Cheesy Pop Songs

Well, what can you say about the pop songs that showed up during the second season of Scooby Doo, Where Are You? That they're good? That they're bad? That they're so bad they're good? They're certainly sung with feeling; you'd almost think the performers, like, believed in them or something.

Cold fact will have to suffice. Unfortunately, I don't have many facts at my fingertips, except that the lead artist was songwriter David Janssen, best known for co-writing the theme song to The Partridge Family ("Come On Get Happy"). Oh, now it's obvious, isn't it? He also contributed to Josie and the Pussycats.

If anyone knows any more details about Janssen and his work on Scooby Doo, drop me a line.

Links below take you to the lyrics of the seven songs that appeared in the series. In some cases, lyrics are only guessed at, so their accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Note also that Davy Jones, the lazy bastard, didn't sing all the words to "I Can Make You Happy" when he sang it in The New Scooby Doo Mysteries.
